Eligibility Criteria
Qualifications:
- Medical Faculty: As per Teachers Eligibility Qualification in the Medical Institutions Regulations, 2022, issued by the National Medical Commission (NMC). For BDS graduates, additional qualifications include an MSc in subjects like Human Anatomy, Human Physiology, Human Biochemistry, General Pathology, Pharmacology, or Microbiology.
- Dental Faculty: As per the Dental Council of India (DCI) BDS Regulations 2007. Candidates must strictly follow the DCI guidelines related to BDS and MDS courses.
Age Limit:
- Medical Faculty: Candidates should not exceed 67 years of age as of the last date for application submission.
- Dental Faculty: Candidates should not exceed 62 years of age as of the last date for application submission.
Experience:
Candidates must have the necessary teaching experience in the relevant specialty. This experience must be recognized by the Medical or Dental Council of India. In addition, candidates must be registered with the Medical Council of India (MCI), Dental Council of India (DCI), or a State Medical/Dental Council.
Remuneration and Other Benefits
The monthly consolidated remuneration for the positions is as follows:
- Associate Professor: Rs. 168,317 per month
- Assistant Professor: Rs. 144,607 per month
No additional allowances will be provided, and candidates are prohibited from engaging in private practice during their tenure. However, dearness allowance (DA) will be provided as per applicable rates.
Selection Procedure
The selection process will be based on a walk-in interview conducted by the ESIC Selection Board. The minimum qualifying marks for the interview are:
- UR Category: 50%
- SC/ST/PWD Candidates: 40%
- OBC Category: 45%
Candidates will be assessed on their qualifications, teaching experience, and expertise in the relevant specialty. The results will be published on the ESIC website, and no further correspondence regarding the outcome will be entertained.
