Examination Fee
- General Category: ₹500/- (₹400 will be refunded after appearing in the first CBT).
- PwBD/Female/Transgender/SC/ST/EWS/EBC Candidates: ₹250/- (Refundable after the first CBT).
- Important Note: Economically Backward Class (EBC) candidates must not confuse their category with OBC or EWS.
Eligibility Criteria
1. Educational Qualifications
Candidates must possess the minimum educational, technical, or professional qualifications specified for the posts they are applying for, as outlined in Annexure-A of the official notification.
Note: Candidates awaiting the final results of their qualifying examinations should not apply.
2. Age Limit
The age limit is calculated as of 1st January 2025.
The standard lower and upper age limits vary for different categories, and age relaxation is applicable as per government norms:

3. Medical Standards
Candidates must meet the medical fitness criteria prescribed for their respective posts.
- B-1 Standard: Requires good vision, including color and night vision, with a limit of 4D for lenses.
- C-1 Standard: Moderate vision fitness is acceptable.
- C-2 Standard: Minimum vision requirements are specified for close work.

Selection Process
- Computer-Based Test (CBT):
The dates for the CBT and other stages will be announced on the official RRB websites. - Skill/Typing/Proficiency Tests (if applicable):
Depending on the post applied for, candidates may need to clear additional skill-based tests. - Document Verification and Medical Examination:
Shortlisted candidates will undergo a document verification process followed by a medical fitness test based on the prescribed medical standards.
