- Total Vacancies: 4,500
- Assistant Teacher for Lower Primary Schools: 2,900 vacancies

Eligibility Criteria
a. Assistant Teacher for Lower Primary Schools (LP)
- Educational Qualification:
- Higher Secondary/Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks.
- 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) or equivalent.
- Qualified Assam TET or Central TET for Lower Primary Schools.
- Age Limit: 18 to 40 years as of January 1, 2025.
- Pay Scale: Rs. 14,000 to Rs. 70,000 per month, plus grade pay and other allowances.
b. Assistant Teacher, Science Teacher, and Hindi Teacher for Upper Primary Schools (UP)
- Educational Qualification:
- Higher Secondary/Senior Secondary (or equivalent).
- Bachelor’s degree (any stream for Assistant Teachers, or with a Science major for Science Teachers).
- 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) or Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) or equivalent.
- Qualified Assam TET or Central TET for Upper Primary Schools.
- Age Limit: 18 to 40 years as of January 1, 2025.
- Pay Scale: Rs. 14,000 to Rs. 70,000 per month, plus grade pay and other allowances.
Selection Process
- TET Scores: Candidates will be selected based on their TET scores, educational qualifications, and extra-curricular achievements.
- Extra Marks: Points may be awarded for achievements such as:
- NCC Certificate: 5 marks for “C” Certificate, 3 marks for “B” Certificate.
- Sports Achievements: 5 marks for national-level participation.
- Fine Arts/Cultural Achievements: 5 marks for representing the state at national or higher levels.
